How to Shift the Transition in Transport from Fossil to Battery, Hydrogen and Biogas
Hydrogen Solutions AS (HYDS) invites you to a mini-seminar during Arendalsuka. Mark the time in your calendar on Wednesday 11 August at 15:30-17:00 in Edgards Bakeri in Peder Thomassens Gate.
We will discuss the Trilemma of balancing effective defence and preparedness, handling the climate challenge and energy affordability against the need for transition from fossil fuels to zero emissions in heavy transport. In the future, we believe that a balanced strategy based on hydrogen, batteries and biogas will have to form the basis for efficient logistics. This will also facilitate efficient logistics across borders in the Nordic/EU in peacetime and provide a basis for effective preparedness in the event of conflicts.
The CEO in Sweden’s leading hydrogen distributor, Hydri, and the management of ASKO Central Norway will share their experiences and perspectives. Chairman of the Board of Hydrogen Research Europe, Steffen Møller Holst, together with HYDS, will also share experiences and perspectives on the Trilemma before State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Cecilie Knibe Kroglund, are invited to share and discuss the political challenges that lie in the Trilemma!
As usual, there is no registration during Arendalsuka, but arrive well in advance as there is limited space.
Selected players with interests in the transport sector will also be invited to Scania at Nedenes for a test drive and demonstration of ASKO’s new hydrogen fuel cell tractor unit (Trekkvogn). The tractor will also be shown to the public at Kirkebakken for much of the time on 10 – 12 August.
We look forward to seeing you all in Arendal and wish you a really good summer until then.
The participants during the session are expected to be:
- Frode Kirkedam (HYDS) CEO
- Helge Skaarberg Holen (HYDS) CCO
- Kamilla Björkman (Hydri) CEO
- Steffen Møller-Holst (SINTEF)
- Roger Sæther (ASKO)
- Cecilie Knibe Kroglund (Labour Party), State Secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications
